Advanced Skills Class

12 months of age and up.
Designed for the hunting guide or dogs moving on to hunt tests. All dogs enrolled into this program need to complete an intermediate hunting skills and obedience program.

Class time - 16 weeks plus birds.

Retrievers and Flushers
On and off leash obedience.
Whistle sit.
Right and left hand cast.
Right and left back cast.
Steady in boat and blind.
Decoy work - land and water.
Lining and markings.
Blind retrieves.
Retrieving birds to hand.

Pointers and Setters
On and off leash obedience.
Hand signals.
Whoa training - steady to wing and shot.
Honoring and backing.
Tracking and scenting.
Retrieving birds to hand.
